Please read these terms carefully. By using CorgiCloud's backup service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Short Stack Cloud Services LLC.
CorgiCloud provides encrypted cloud backup services operated by Short Stack Cloud Services LLC, a limited liability company based in Norman, Oklahoma ("CorgiCloud," "we," "us"). The service includes:
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use CorgiCloud. By creating an account, you represent that this is the case.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are also solely responsible for your backup encryption passphrase. We cannot recover your passphrase or decrypt your backups if you lose it. This is a fundamental property of our zero-knowledge encryption model, not a limitation we can work around.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. Accounts created with false information may be terminated.
You may use CorgiCloud to back up data that you own or have the legal right to store. You may not use CorgiCloud to store or transmit:
Because of our zero-knowledge encryption model, we cannot and do not monitor the contents of your backups. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the service complies with applicable laws.
You may not attempt to: gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with service operations, circumvent usage limits, or resell access to the service without our written consent.
CorgiCloud offers three subscription tiers: Starter ($9/month), Professional ($19/month), and Business ($39/month). Plan details, storage limits, and features are described on our pricing page and in your account portal.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is due at the start of each billing cycle. We reserve the right to suspend service for accounts with outstanding balances after a 7-day grace period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months. After cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow for account recovery, then permanently deleted.
We may change subscription pricing with 60 days' advance notice to active subscribers.
Each plan includes a storage allocation as described in the plan details. If your backup data exceeds your plan's storage limit, we will notify you and work with you to either upgrade your plan or reduce your backup footprint. We will not silently delete backup data to bring you within limits — we will always contact you first.
Backup snapshots are retained according to your plan's retention policy (30 days for Starter and Professional, 60 days for Business). Older snapshots are automatically pruned.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. We are not liable for data loss or damages resulting from service outages.
Our RAID-Z2 storage infrastructure is designed to survive multiple simultaneous drive failures without data loss. However, no storage system provides absolute guarantees. CorgiCloud should be one component of your data protection strategy, not your only backup.
Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. The key point: we use zero-knowledge encryption, meaning we cannot access the contents of your backup data.
You retain all rights to your data. By using the service, you grant us only the limited license necessary to store, transmit, and return your encrypted backup data as instructed by you.
Support response times vary by plan tier:
On-site support is available within 50 miles of Norman, Oklahoma for Business plan subscribers and on a paid basis for others.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CORGICLOUD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. You may terminate by cancelling your subscription. We may terminate your account for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or illegal use of the service, with reasonable notice where practicable.
Upon termination, we will provide you with 30 days to export or retrieve your data before it is permanently deleted, except in cases of illegal use where immediate termination may be required.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cleveland County, Oklahoma.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
